This SoHo hotspot is one part MePa glam and one part downtown hipster scene, yet somehow manages to dispel the attitudes of both. The talented designer-owners put forth a funky vintage décor (apparently wallpaper can be classy) and the beautiful people crowd is peppered with the odd celeb entourage, but it’s mostly a laid-back group. DJs blare everything from old school hip-hop to cutting edge dance tracks, although there’s not much room to shake it between the candlelit tables and crowded bar. That’s not much of a problem since the focus here is on the drinks: strong and sugary concoctions priced for the black AMEX set.
